Our focus is on active sourcing – tracing the raw ingredients that go into each product, the packaging that holds it, and finally the delivery method that brings it to you. We build relationships with our suppliers and seek out companies that highlight fair wages, sustainable practices, and community impact.
We believe that items chosen with intention lend power/strength/meaning to the ritual. This earth-first approach drives our product line and our purchasing decisions.
Sustainably sourced, sustainably made, and artisan focused
This is how we select our product line. We research all our products to understand the journey that an ingredient or tool travels to reach us. We evaluate the packaging used, the methods of transport, issues around the source or use of each item. Only then do we commit to an order and bring it into inventory.
Where to Find Our Products
We are not an online store. While we negotiate for a store space, our products are sold at celebrations, local fairs, community events, and by arrangement. Packaging and shipping of e-commerce goods are a large source of greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore we choose to limit our contribution as much as possible in this technological age by focusing on local sales. While inbound shipments are a necessary part of maintaining a collection of products, we balance this with carbon offsets for all supply purchases to lessen our impact. Our website is to communicate our hours and event locations, availability of products, new items coming – and gives us a place to share what we’ve learned as we research these amazing tools and ingredients.

The World Beyond the Shop
We include in our shop inventory products that support organizations and collectives dedicated to improving the lives of women and families all over the world. Baskets, textiles, charms and jewelry come from certified Fair Trade producers and suppliers. You’ll find information about each group or collective with the product information on our site. Our team has traveled for work and pleasure over our many combined years, and we all share a desire to support the groups we’ve found along the way.
Re-use, Re-purpose, Re-imagine
You’ll see new and used items in our stock. We search out items that can be reconditioned and resold – and in many cases you’ll get your own ideas for what you can use instead of that brand new incense burner you thought you couldn’t live without. We look for materials that can ground a spell or ritual, or in many cases offer a bit of safety to a practice involving fire and melting wax. If we can find a vessel to fill, we’ll fill it with something magical.
